ALWAYS WATCHING ALWAYS SEEING
( Collaboration )
In the end of October 2023, premier Philly DIY Venue, The Palace, came together with infamous street artist group, Anti Flower Show Movement, and resurrected show production duo, Lucifer’s Lounge, to create a one of a kind rave-like experience throughout the space. Along with the spectacle itself was a small drop of merchandise to celebrate the occasion and keep that energy moving forward.
The AWAS campaign was born wanting AFSM to be apart of the mix experience-wise but also merch-wise. The main graphic and the premise behind it was to encapsulate how Philadelphia see’s their infamous Nancy sticker quite literally everywhere. With this event being around Halloween time I decided to center the back graphic around how we’re always seeing her, and in return she’s always watching us from all the different nooks and cranies she’s in. It is supposed to be an oode to Big Brother, but we said it was the Big Sister effect.
Street portion of photoshoot/documentation still in progress. This is only the in studio bits so far.

The fun thing I wanted to play with was the optical effect of the nancy being in the eye and how from afar it was hard to tell what exactly it was but the closer you got you’d be able to see the Nancy. It also plays off how once a Nancy catches your gaze, she is in your sights. To most bystanders, Nancy is an enigma and misunderstood and more of a general question to people. So if a bystander saw the merch out and about they’d continue to question what exactly and who exactly she is.
Regardless, she will always be watching and you will always be seeing her.
The front graphic signifies the collaboration with a ominous horned figure to represent the Lucifer’s Lounge team, a floating Nancy for AFSM, and a pillar for The Palace.
The date of the event is also featured below the names.
The totes feature the eyeball graphic and a blown up version of Always Watching Always Seeing. The green features the names and date. The orange is standalone without those details for emphasis.
Both colors are florescent and will shine very bright both in daylight but especially under blacklight.
